Take A Walk With Us On Water Street!

We want to officially welcome you to the new Water Street blog from American Water! Before starting off on this new adventure, we take our hats off to Dr. Mark LeChevallier for six wonderful years authoring Dr. Water Blog. We are honored and excited to be collaborating on the next generation of American Water’s blog series, and building upon Mark’s blogging legacy!

Beyond providing clean, safe, reliable and affordable water services, we want to connect with our customers on a personal level. One hope with Water Street is that we will continue the conversations about water that are meaningful to your everyday life, while also giving you a better understanding of not only where your water comes from, but everything we do to ensure its quality.

So, what’s going to be different about Water Street beyond what you loved about Dr. Water? Think about it like this; as a national utility, we treat and deliver water that originates from a number of different sources, but what ends up coming out of your tap is always subject to the same testing to ensure the highest quality. To borrow from that water metaphor, the content for the blog will be the same great material – just drawn now from a number of different sources.

As for who WE are, you’ll discover more of that as our blogs go on. But for now, here’s a brief introduction, and we invite you to read short bios for each of us here.

  • • Dr. Ben Stanford, Senior Director, Water Research and Development
    • Gary A. Naumick, P.E. (PA), Vice President of Engineering
    • Matt Corson, Manager, Environmental Compliance and Stewardship
    • Dr. Lauren Weinrich, Senior Scientist, Water Research and Development
    • Kino Becton, Senior Director National Government & Regulatory Affairs

We’re excited to take this journey with you, and encourage you to interact and share your thoughts and ideas so that, together, we can make Water Street an educational and empowering community for everyone!
