Vice President of Engineering
As Vice President of Engineering for American Water, Gary is responsible for strategic planning, management, and delivery of American Water’s capital program of over $1 billion annually, as well as leading his team in the development of comprehensive asset plans for 200+ water and wastewater systems. He joined American water in 1986. In his 40 years of experience in the water utility field, he was employed by the US Environmental Protection Agency, was involved in policy development with USEPA and the Water Research Foundation (WRF), and has served on committees for the AWWA. Gary is a licensed Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Penn State University, and a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
