Deb Degillio serves as chief customer officer with a focus on further developing and advancing all aspects of American Water’s “purpose-driven, people-powered, customer-obsessed and trusted source of everything water” strategy.
Deb will lead the company’s efforts in building key programs that leverage technology and advance the overall customer experience in an effort to better understand and address customer concerns around service and billing, as well as in optimizing our customer technology investments in order to provide American Water customers with the service and experience that they expect and deserve. Ms. Degillio will have oversight of the Customer Service Center, Customer Experience and Major Accounts.
Formerly president of New Jersey American Water. She served as the principal external contact for American Water in New Jersey, serving approximately 2.7 million people. In this role, Ms. Degillio reinforced and strengthened customer, regulatory and local government relationships and drove operational and financial results for New Jersey. Additionally, she served as senior vice president of the company’s Eastern Division, which is comprised of New Jersey, New York, Virginia and Maryland.
